Nick started playing bass in 1991, followed by guitar a couple years later. "Cliff Burton was my first major bass influence and Dave Mustaine was my first major guitar influence. My influences have ranged from Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer, to Opeth, Meshuggah, and Tool, to Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, and Rush, to Jeff Buckley, Shawn Lane, and Awry. The list goes on and on and on. I've been jamming and playing out locally since 1994 in various forms with many different musicians(Abyss, Entropy, Boldface, Intrusion, Alchemy, Stoma Blue). All of this prior experience has culminated in Portraits For Judith.  PFJ, for me, embodies everything I love about music; exploration, stylistic freedom, bold dynamics. I hope to continue making music with my friends for a long time to come."
